The research team from the Faculty of Animal Science, Hasanuddin University has established a research collaboration with the UPM Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS). This research collaboration is an implementation of the FPK Unhas research scheme for the 2024 budget year, and also with financial assistance from the Enhancing Quality Education for International University Recognition (EQUITY) Unhas program through Rector’s Decree No. 02339/UN4.1.2/KEP/2024, concerning Joint Research between Hasanuddin University Faculty of Animal Science with Universiti Putra Malaysia.
The activity began with a visit from researchers from the Faculty of Animal Science, Hasanuddin University, represented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Jasmal A. Syamsu, M.Si, IPU, ASEAN Eng., Dr. Ir. Sri Purwanti, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM, ASEAN Eng., and Abd. Alim Yamin, S.Pt., M.Si., to UPM on March 8 2024. The representative from UPM ITAFoS is Prof. Dr. Anjas Asmara. The meeting discussed the agenda for research collaboration which will be implemented in 2024. During the visit, the Cooperation Implementation Plan (Implementation Arrangement/IA) document was also signed between the Laboratory of Feed Technology and Industry as a representation of the Animal Science Faculty and the UPM ITAFoS. One form of collaborative activity is conducting laboratory testing and analysis at UPM.
This activity is expected to contribute to achieving the Faculty of Animal Husbandry’s Main Performance Indicators (IKU) in lecturers carrying out activities outside campus, especially with collaborative research with QS100 overseas campuses.
