Some of the faculty members from the Faculty of Animal Science, Hasanuddin University carry out training on the manufacture of processed egg products (Telur Pindang) for the women farmer group “Tani Putta” at the Lamattiriattang Village, Bulu Poddo District, Sinjai Regency (January 7th, 2024).
The training was attended by members of the women’s farmer group. The service team members from the university were Dr. Muhammad Hatta S.Pt., M.Si, Dr. Hajrawati, S.Pt., M.Si Endah Murpiningrum, S.Pt., MP dan Ilham Syarif, S.Pt., M.Si.
During the training, Telur Pindang was explained as one of the processed eggs in the herb solution for several hours to prolong egg quality during storage and provide the flavor for the egg. The material used during processing included the guava leaves, onion, and salt. All ingredients were immersed in the water and boiled for 30 min. The final result of this product was characterized by a dark brownish color of the eggshell.
