Faculty of Animal Science Unhas Unveils Internship and Village Development Program

A total of 186 students from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) will undertake learning activities through industrial internships and village development programs. They will be involved in this activity in 17 different industries and one assisted village. The selected industries involve the poultry sector, including broilers and layers, as well as the dairy goat and dairy cattle sectors.

The number of students involved in this program is 186 people, who come from the class of 2021 and 2022.

Students’ participation in this activity will be recognized in the form of Competency Support course credits, totaling 6 credits. They will be involved in internship activities in industry and village development for a period of 1.5 months.

The official launch of this activity was held on Thursday (4/01/2024) by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M. Kes, Ph. D. The Vice Rector I emphasized that this program is expected to be a bridge for students to enter the industrial world.

The Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry added that this activity is a concrete proof of the implementation of Curriculum 23 (K-23) in the animal husbandry study program. Hopefully, students will be able to benefit significantly from the learning experience in the industry and in turn, maintain the good reputation of Hasanuddin University.
