The leadership forum of Indonesian animal science universities (FPPTPI) held a two-day national working meeting on 2-3 December 2023 at the Unhas Hotel and Convention. This event was held in collaboration between FPPTPI and the Faculty of Animal Science Unhas. Present were about 32 leaders of animal husbandry universities including Deans, Heads of Departments and Heads of Animal Husbandry Study Programs throughout Indonesia ranging from Syah Kuala University in Aceh to Papua University in West Papua.
Approximately 50 participants were present with the agenda of discussing two things, namely the revision of the petenrakan and animal health laws and the establishment of the Independent Accreditation Institute for Agricultural Education (LAM-PP). Present as a resource person was the Director General of Animal Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. Ir. Nasrullah, M. Sc. who became a resource person about changes in the PKH Law in 2009 and 2014. For LAM-PP, the guest speaker was Prof. Dr. Ir. Samanhudi, M. Sc. who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. After the meeting, the event continued with a Phinisi Tour at Losari Beach.
