Implementing Cooperation, Lecturers of Fapet Unhas Attend ELEGTEC ERASMUS+ Meeting and Training in Greece and Türkiye

The team of lecturers from the Faculty of Animal Science, Hasanuddin University with members including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan Said, S.Pt., M.P., IPU ASEAN Eng., Prof. Dr. Syahdar Baba, S.Pt., M.Sc., Dr. Muhammad Ihsan A. Dagong, S.Pt., M.Sc., and La Ode Rahman Musawa, S.Pt., M.Sc., who joined the team from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry UGM and UNRAM as well as the team from the Ministry of Industry and the Indonesian Tanners Association, participated in the project meeting and training activities “Centres of Excellence for Sustainable and Green Leather Technology”. The project meeting was held on November 14-15 at NTUA, 9, Heroon Polytechniou Str., Zografou Campus 15780, Athens which was opened by Prof. Constantina Kollia. The next presentation from the first project team, namely Prof. Dr. Mehmet Mete Mutlu as the project coordinator, Maya Dimitriadou from Crethidev, Prof. Maurizia Seggiani, Dr. Mohammad Zainal Abidin, Ph.D. and Prof. Yuny Erwanto from Gajah Mada University, Prof. Muhammad Irfan Said from Hasanuddin University, and Michele Coluccia from CGS.

The training activities were held from 18-22 November in Athens, Greece, and 24-29 November at Ege Universitesi Izmir, Turkey. The training activities were carried out with materials on instrumental analysis testing, physical and chemical testing, environmental management, and further testing of samples. The activities continued with a visit to a traditional leather processing industry that uses vegetable tanning materials and a visit to a modern leather industry in Izmir that produces export leather. At the end of the session, an assessment and certificates were given by the training organizer to the training participants.
